Provides instant visual inspection of suspended particles down to one micrometer in diameter.
HOW IT WORKS: A lowpower laser beam scans through the bottle or beaker that holds the sample. As it strikes a particle, Fraunhoffer diffraction occurs. If the scattered light is viewed at just the right angle it is possible to see the particle even if it is as small as one thousandth of a millimeter.
