Dissolved Ozone Monitor
On-line, 0-2 ppm, Low Cost, Rugged
Model DOM-1
Price $1950.00 USD
This
is a brief applications note to go along with the announcement
of our exciting new DOM-1 on-line dissolved ozone monitor. Its
range is 0-2 ppm, and its outputs are a digital readout, 4-20
mA loop, and set-point controlled relay.
Using proprietary technology, our instrument strips the ozone
from the water stream and reads it as the concentration of ozone
released into a measuring chamber. This has advantages over conventional
methods for measuring dissolved ozone:
1 - ORP (Oxidation reduction potential): Low cost and fairly maintenance
free, but ORP reacts to any oxidizing influences in the water
such as chlorine.
2 - Electrochemical cell (polaragraphic) such as Orbisphere, ATI
and Rosemount: They work very well for a while and then the probes
need expensive maintenance.
3 - Indigo test such as the Hach colorimeter. No on-line version.
Our DOM-1 has a provision for drawing samples for a Hach colorimeter
or similar instrument for convenient calibration checking and
recalibration.
4 - UV absorption analyzer. Works well in ultra pure water.
The Eco Sensors instrument strips ozone from a .15 L/min (3 gal/H)
sidestream using a proprietary process. To do this, the stripper
section requires 14 psi (1 bar) water pressure. The connection
to our instrument is a 1/4" NPT female port or a hose barb.
The DOM-1 instrumentation package includes a water strainer, pressure
regulator, and hardware to mount everything to the plant wall.
Our instrument is very easy to calibrate to a laboratory reference.
We have a tap to draw a lab sample, and a calibration adjustment
that is easy to use.
Our replacement parts are very low cost and easily replaceable
by plant personnel. They are filters, pressure regulator and stripping
cartridge. |
