  I have been using the Spectrex PC-2000 Laser Particle Counter for the last three years and am convinced that this equipment is by far one of the best units available for our type of operation. We currently use this to monitor our oil filtration operation and have found the savings to not only be the cost of continued sampling to meet target oil cleanliness specifications, but also the time savings we have as our results are recorded in minutes.  This helps my company utilize our filtration equipment as we do not have to wait days for results to return from other labs.  The compact size of the particle counter makes it very portable and easy to take to a customer location to monitor our filtration progress.
